That being said if you’re looking to get your hands on Winamp, you will be unable to do so (at least not officially), but if you just want to see what it was like to use the software, Jordan Eldredge has recently cobbled together a web version of Winamp based on HTML5. Thankfully it sort of got a new lease on life when it was bought over. It used to be the music player of choice amongst PC users, but a report from last year revealed that the developers were finally shutting it down after 15 years. We’re not sure how many of you guys remember Winamp from back in the day.
